  • RIPLEY - Recent action on cases pending in Jackson Circuit Court includes:
    • Edward Fields entered guilty pleas to grand larceny and two counts of petit larceny; sentencing is set for July 26.
    • Lewis Stephens entered a guilty plea to delivery of a Schedule 3 controlled substance-hydrocodone; sentencing is set for July 26.
    • Zachary Fields was sentenced to 1-15 years in prison with the Department of Corrections on each of two counts of burglary to be served consecutively, 1-10 years in prison for entering a dwelling to be served concurrently with the other sentences and was given credit for time served as a sentence on a charge of fraudulent schemes.
    • Tabitha Tucker was sentenced to three years probation for conspiracy to commit a felony.
    The Jason Barr, sentenced to five years probation for failure to meet obligations concerning a minor in circuit court, is not the Jason Barr who resides on Big List Drive at Evans.
