RIPLEY - The Mountain State Athletic Conference released its 2013  All MSAC squad this week and five Ripley Vikings garnered recognition.

Freshman shortstop Christopher Jordan took top honors. Jordan hit (.341) and was second on the team with (18) walks. He led Ripley with 30 runs scored while notching 11 doubles, three triples and he led the team with (27) stolen bases.

Senior Tyler Pittenger took second team honors as an outfielder. “Pitt” came on strong in the last 10 games and finished with a team leading (.388) average, was second on the team in runs (27), tied for second in RBIs (21) and had 12 doubles to lead the team with two triples. He mashed two dingers on the year for the Vikings.

Younger brother,  freshman Cody Pittenger snagged a Special Honorable Mention while Cody led the team in home runs (3) tied for second in RBIs (21) and was third on the team in batting average (.353).

Jonny Stepp also snagged a Special Honorable mention. Stepp mashed (.308) and led the team with 24 RBIs.
Isaac Koontz landed Honorable Mention recognition. He was second on the team in average (.365) and third on the team in RBIs with (18). On the hill, Koontz struck out 21 and walked 14. Koontz was on the mound and got the win over Class AA No. 1 Herbert Hoover on May 2.
