RAVENSWOOD – The 27th Annual Ohio River Basketball Camp of Champions will be held June 10-13 at Ravenswood High School's old gym, "The Pit." This year the camp will feature WVIAC all-time great and Harlem Globetrotter Archie Talley on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
The camp is for boys and girls entering grades 3-8 and will be held from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. each day.
Over 5,000 campers have paerticipated in the camp over the past 26 years. The camp is geared for boys and girls who have definite goals of improving their individual skills and have a desire to play in the great game of basketball.
The camp will be divided into three divisions in which campers will learn the game of basketball and compete in many skill development areas. Thirty-six counselors and 10 highly qualified coaches will staff the camp. The camp features games, prizes, awards, competitions and guest speakers throughout the week.
Outstanding instruction will enhance each child's development during the four days. Each participant will receive a camp certificate, camp t-shirt and basketball.
The camp concludes on Thursday at 11 a.m. with our "Parade of Champions" at the RvHS Auditorium..
