  • EASTWOOD – Ravenswood's Red Devilettes had unbeaten Roane County on the ropes Friday night at Eastwood, but it was the Raiders who scored the knock-out with 10 runs in the fifth inning.
Coach Cindy Carmichael's gals gave up a single run in the first inning, but then grabbed a 4-1 advantage with a pair of runs in each of the second and third inning.
Senior Holly Chiles ripped a two-out double down the left field line in the second and advanced to third when Ciara Trouille reached on an error. Both scored on Jordan Strickland's single and an error on the center fielder that allowed Strickland to advance all the way to third base.

Another walk and a error kept the scoring barrage going. A two-run double ended the 10-run outburst to give Roane County a 11-4 lead.
