Melissa Missy Spangler joined the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce as Program Manager after serving as an American Family Insurance Agent in Centerville, OH. She is originally from WV and a graduate of Ritchie County High School. She graduated from Robert Morris University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing, with a minor in Entrepreneurship. She received her Master's in Business Administration from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2006. Previously, Melissa has interned at Simonton Windows, Inc. within their marketing department where she designed sales plans for specific product lines and client accounts. She has also worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV serving as the temporary foundation director. While managing her insurance agency she served on several boards including: Greater Dayton Apartment Association's Rent Foundation, Xenia Board of Parks and Recreation, and Centerville Optimist Childhood Cancer. She had served as Chairperson for 2 years for the Greene County Relay for Life where she managed and organized the event.

JGH Auxiliary President, Sue Mancari, will be the guest speaker at the April 17th meeting for the Ripley Rotary Club in the Ripley Library. Sue is also one of the purchasers for the unique "JGH Gift Shop" that is open to the public. Sue has volunteered with the Auxiliary for 25 years and her husband, Sam, has volunteered for 12 years. The JGH Auxiliary holds fundraisers year around to help improve the facility and services of Jackson General Hospital. This tireless group of volunteers donate numerous hours of time and talent to make our staff, patients, and community feel special!
