  • The WV Division of Natural Resources will hold a Hunter Education Class in Jackson County at the Sandyville Senior Citizen Center on April 13-14.

  • The WV Division of Natural Resources will hold a Hunter Education Class in Jackson County at the Sandyville Senior Citizen Center on April 13-14.
    On April 13, the class will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and April 14 from 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
    This is a 10-hour course and students must attend all sessions to be certified. No base hunting license may be issued to a person born on or after January 1, 1975, unless the person presents tot he license agent proof of completion of a Hunter Education Course.
    The course is open tot he public and is free of charge. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult. Students must be 10 years of age to receive permanent certification. Students whoa re eight and nine years of age will receive a temporary certification
    Class size is limited so pre-registration is required. If you would like to pre-register or need additional information, please contact the WV DNR District IV Office at 304-420-4550 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
