RIPLEY - 2013 will be an exciting year for Jackson County and Charity Challenge needs your support to make it a success.
Charity Challenge, a special Run and Fun Walk & Matching Grant Program, annually benefits over 20 nonprofit groups and the Jackson County Community Support Fund. This event challenges nonprofits to raise funds collaboratively by providing a matching fund of donor sponsorships.

In addition to the Community Support Fund, the Jackson County Community Foundation administers over 50 permanent charitable funds and issues community grants and scholarships to support a wide variety of causes and organizations. Community donors benefit from eligibility for tax credits and deductions and the knowledge that their donation is being matched and distributed with due diligence. The community benefits from the many valuable programs that are made possible by this unique matching grant program which has earned the Governor's Service Award for its outstanding collaborative community support.

Charity Challenge sponsors will be honored at the Annual Community Benefit held on October 22 with Grammy Award winner Kathy Mattea. This year, donors ($2,000 plus) will be included in a special VIP reception with West Virginia Hero Kathy Mattea.
