Ralph A. Kay, 73, of Ripley, WV passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family following a long illness.
He was born November 3, 1939, in Ripley, a son of the late Clifford and Marie Berg Kay. He retired from the city of Ripley with 31 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Reva Tolley Kay; son, Allen Dean Kay and his wife, Rachel, of Sandyville; daughters, Carolyn Campbell and her husband, Neil, of Ripley and Sandra Pursley andher husband, Steve, of Ripley; brothers, Richard, Walter, Ronald and Delbert, all of Ripley, and Donald R. Kay of Hedgesville; sisters, Fonda Watts and Louise Rhodes of Ripley; nine grandchildren and one step-grandchild; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, infant Raymond Kay and Eugene Berg; infant granddaughter, Anna Marie Kay; and one sister, Beverly Bauch.
Funeral service were Thursday, February 28, at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Pastor Jeff Keffer officiated. Burial was in the Fairplain Cemetery.
