The No Hunger Food Pantry in Ravenswood, WV is participating in the 16th Annual Feinstein Challenge again this year.
Alan Feinstein, a philanthropist from R.I. has been splitting $1 million each year with anti-hunger agencies throughout the country. His $1 million will be divided proportionately in full among the agencies participating this year. This will be our 3rd year taking part in what is considered the greatest grass roots campaign ever to fight hunger in our country.
The Feinstein Challenge began March 1st and will continue until April 30, 2013. This fund raiser is crucial to our pantry. After the holidays, donations slow way down for us.
But, by the grace of God and the generosity of each of you in our community, we are confident that we will be able to continue to feed our families going through difficult times.
All food and monies donated during this time are counted toward the challenge. Each item/lb. donated, will be counted as $1.00. Therefore, the more donations given to the NHFP, the more money we will receive from the Feinstein Challenge.
Thanks to your generosity and prayers, the volunteers at the No Hunger Food Pantry are claiming this year as our most prosperous and joyous ever.
