  • Club member Gary Derzinski of Leavenworth, Kansas, uses a 500-watt halogen work light to illuminate the spot where he’s welding. This lets him see the work with his face shield down (using a standard welding filter) before he starts the welder. The extra light also illuminates the work after he begins the weld.
