  • Laura Jane Taylor, 80, of Cottageville, WV, passed away February 22, 2013, at her home following an extended illness.
    She was born August 2, 1932, in Spicewood, WV, the daughter of the late Granville and Gertrude (Boggess) Harrison. Her daughter, Rita Lynn (Taylor) Frederick also preceded her in death.
    She was a member of Recycle Teenagers of Ravenswood, and enjoyed traveling with them. She was also a member of the Ripley VFW Auxiliary, and was a former employee of Quality Care Cleaners in Ripley and K & K Dairy in Cottageville. She enjoyed going to yard sales, auctions, and camping.
    Survivors include her sons, Danny Dale Taylor and Terry Lance Taylor and his wife Angie, David Arlen Taylor and his wife, Rhita, all of Mt. Alto, Mickey Taylor and his wife, Verta, of Maysville, and Gary Wayne Taylor of Elyria, OH; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sister, Janet Hall, of Ripley, several nieces and nephews, and an “adopted” daughter, Lil Baxter of Elyria, OH.
    Services were . Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at the Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans. Rev. Gerald Sayre officiated. Committal Service was Wednesday, at Hopewell Cemetery, Mt. Alto.
