On the sequester, it’s hard to know where to start and easy to shrug it off and say “there they go again.”
The “who’s to blame for the sequester” business is as stupid as the sequester itself. We know both signed off on it, on the same bizarre assumption that it would be so awful they’d have to resolve their impasse to stop it. You’d think the people who were in the room in August 2011 when that decision was made would have had a better idea of their likelihood for failure, but there you go.
So if we must start somewhere, let’s start with a proposal on the table. Here’s the president Obama’s debt reduction proposal.
Why can’t or won’t the House or Senate bring it up for a vote?
