On Saturday night, Ripley High School principal Will Hosaflook was recognized by the Mountain State Athletic Conference as principal of the year.
Hosaflook received the award during the MSAC Night of Champions at the South Charleston Community Center.The award is the result of a voting system in which all 15 MSAC principals cast a vote. Hosaflook graduated from Marshall University in 2001. He began his career in Jackson County immediately after graduation as a world history and advanced placement (psychology) teacher.
He took the Ripley High principal’s position prior to the 2011-’12 school year and previously served as an assistant from 2009-’11.
“It’s an honor and privilege to be named Principal of the Year in the most prestigious conference (both academically and athletically) in the state of WV.” Hosaflook continued, “The real honor goes to our great teachers and students who make Ripley High School one of the top educational entities in West Virginia.”
Hosaflook is a 1996 graduate of Ripley high School.
