  • A traffic stop in Ravenswood February 6 led to the arrest of the driver for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
    On Feb. 6 at approximately 8 p.m., Ravenswood Police Officers J.B. Thompson and A.R. Boggess were on patrol when they observed a Ford Escort with defective equipment. 
    The officers stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Norman Evans.
    After a field interview, the officers suspected that Evans   was in possession of drugs and subsequently were able to search the vehicle. 
    The search of the vehicle turned up 62.6 grams of marijuana and 29 Hydrocodone pills. 
    Evans was subsequently arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He has since posted bond and been released pending further court action.
