Francis Wayne McCauley, 83, of Ravenswood, WV, departed this life to go to his eternal home on January 24, 2013, at the Ravenswood Village, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 15, 1929, in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Herman William and Myrtle Roach McCauley.
Francis was self-employed as a farm equipment dealer most of his life. He enjoyed driving his antique tractors in the annual Fourth of July parade and attending equipment auctions in surrounding states. He surrendered his life to the Lord on July 12, 2010, led by Dr. Sattis R. Parsons, Jr.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Dorthy Lovell McCauley of Ravenswood; sons, Gary (Nancy) McCauley of Bowling Green, KY, and Doug (Debbie) McCauley of Evans, WV; four grandchildren, Melody, Gabe, Monica and Tyler; and six great-grandchildren, along with siblings, Herman J. (Dorothy) McCauley of Ravenswood, sister, Oleta Hinzman of Sandyville, WV; brothers- in-law and sisters-in-law, Dale (Dessel) Pursley, Ohio, and Charles (Libbey) Eagle, Ripley, WV; and sister-in-law, Bernice McCauley Weaver of Sandyville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Dean McCauley, and brother, Willard G. McCauley.
Services will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV, with Dr. Sattis R. Parsons, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery in Sandyville.
Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Saturday, January 26, from 6 to 9 p.m.
