  • Harold Lee “Hotdog” Easter, 70, of Evans, WV, passed away December 28, 2012, in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, OH, following a sudden illness.
    He was born June 28, 1942, in Ripley, WV, a son of the late James Harold and Garnet Wilma (Vance) Easter. His wife, Belva Louise (Stover), brothers, Jimmy David Easter, Richard Dean Easter, and infant brother, and a sister, Debbie King also preceded him in death.
    He was a United States Army veteran, and a retired truck driver from Henry Winter Construction. He also worked many years for Straley Gas Company.
    Survivors include his brother, James Eugene “Shorty” Easter of Ripley; sisters, Connie Fields and Betty Smith both of Ripley, and Loretta Kelly of Ashtabula, OH.
    The service was Monday, December 31, 2012, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, WV. John Gunther officiated. Burial followed in Salt Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Visitation 11 a.m. until time of service.
