Brenda Mobley has joined the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and Jackson County Development Authority as Program Manager after serving for many years with the West Virginia Department of Agriculture (WVDA), Charleston, WV. Brenda is a graduate of Ripley High School and a graduate of WVU-P with an AAS degree in Office Administration and an AAS degree in Business Administration. She also received the Regents Bachelor of Arts degree from Glenville State College.

Brenda brings to us over 25 years of experience with state government in West Virginia and has worked in various areas including human resources, office management, promotions, homeland security, financial aid, and various loan programs just to name a few. Prior to her employment at the WVDA she was employed at WVU-Parkersburg Jackson County Center, Jackson County Board of Education, and the Mountain State Art & Craft Fair. She has been involved with wellness programs, youth activities, American Red Cross, American Heart Association, Read Aloud Program, and has been a faithful supporter of the Jackson County Junior Fair.

Following in the footsteps of Joe Biden and John McCain, Newt Gingrich is the latest politician to appear on NBC's Parks and Recreation.The Indy Star reports that the former speaker of the House happened upon production of Parks and Rec at St. Elmo Steak House in Indianapolis on Monday when he tried to get lunch.Final Season Report Cards: How are 30 Rock, The Office and other soon-to-be departed series faring?Quick on his feet, series co-creator Mike Schur immediately talked to the writer and director about incorporating Gingrich into the upcoming episode. "It was a completely random chance," Schur said. "But you can't pass up on an opportunity like that."We don't know who will be happier in the episode: Leslie Knope, at meeting yet another A-list politician, or Ron Swanson, simply for being surrounded by glorious steak.
