  • Titus named 'LKC Defensive Player of Year', six Devils honored

  • RAVENSWOOD - Senior linebacker Brad Titus and junior running back Devon Crews top a total of 15 Ravenswood Devils named to All-LKC honors for 2012.
    Titus, his team's leading tackler, captain and anchor on defense, was named "LKC Defensive Player of the Year" for 2012 in addition to being an All-LKC First Team selection at linebacker.
    Crews was second in the conference in rushing with 153 carries for 947 yards (6.19 yards per carry) and scored 14 touchdowns.
    Four Red Devils were named to the All-LKC Second Team: sophomore running back Rhys Jelich (158 for 917 yards and six TDs-5.8 ypc), senior place-kicker Mason Carte, senior offensive lineman Dillon Gandee and sophomore offensive lineman Kyle Hickman. Named to the All-LKC Special Honorable Mention list were: sophomore defensive lineman Donavyn Estep, sophomore linebacker Connor Jelich, junior defensive back Heath Burgess, junior punter Nathan Cunningham, sophomore utility player Ben Johnson, Crews (utility) and Carte (utility).
    Named to the All-LKC Honorable Mention list were: senior offensive lineman Ryan Whytsell, and sophomores, receiver Thomas Sturm, defensive lineman Trey Hatcher and linebacker Matt Peery.
