The Colts won tournament games by scores of 24-0, 46-0 and 40-0 on their way to the championship game in which they won, 26-0.

It was the first time that a team and plowed through the tournament, not allowing a point.

Kaleb Lawrence, the Ripley tailback, played defense as well while getting six sacks of his own. Lawrence and Anderson led their team in tackles for a loss. Ripley C-Team head coach Mike Lawrence coached the defense for the Colts and was proud of what the boys from Ripley accomplished.

"The Battle in Rocky Top is a huge tournament with a lot of teams from all over the country. To see these four kids that I have coached for three years play the way they did was special to see. I am so proud of these guys. They all played on the defense that didn't allow a score all weekend. Ripley was represented by these guys in a big way."

The Colts have been asked to participate in a tournament that will take place in Richmond Virginia on December 15. If the team accepts the invitation, Jackson Newspapers will bring the story to you.
