Robert Quentin Sayre, Jr., 58, of Ripley, WV, passed away October 16, 2012, at his home.
He was born June 22, 1954, in Ripley, a son of R. Quentin and Geraldine Marie (Hartley) Sayre, of Ripley.
In addition to his parents, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.
He was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School, and a graduate of Marietta College, where he became a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society. He later graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law, and began his practice with Goodwin & Goodwin LLP, Attorney's at Law, and later opened his own law practice in Charleston.
Robert was co-owner and operator of Sayre Brothers Farm, and raised and exhibited registered Angus cattle. He attended shows at many local and state fairs in West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, WV, with the Rev. Gerald B. Sayre officiating. Burial will follow in Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville. Visitation will be one hour prior to time of service.
