Mona Kathryn Parsons, 88, of Ravenswood, daughter of the late William and Virgie Angus, finished her ‘Angel Training’ here on earth Friday, October 12, 2012.
Mona Kathryn Parsons, 88, of Ravenswood, daughter of the late William and Virgie Angus, finished her ‘Angel Training’ here on earth Friday, October 12, 2012. She was immediately transported (via air) from Camden Clark Memorial Hospital to Heaven to meet with God and receive her Angel wings. She was a faithful member of Milhoan Ridge Baptist Church where she still played the piano when called upon.
She is survived by four children: Bill (Rose) Parsons, Shirley Boggs, Judy (Bill) Pease all of Ravenswood, and Sue (Neil) Thomas of Sandyville, plus two grandchildren whom she raised as her own. Also, she leaves behind grandchildren: Teresa (Jeff) Stefanov, Tony (Kat) Boggs, Jeff (Marcy) Parsons, Jenny (Chris) Knopp, Chris (Amber) Pease, Mitch (Tomeka) Thomas, Amy (Ben) Barton, Steve (Amanda) Thomas, Anita (Derrick) Cooper and infant AngieThomas (deceased); Great grandchildren: Tabitha, Samantha and Edward Stefanov; Jordan Wight; Britttany Shriver, Anthony and Mychal Boggs; Iann Barton, Caleb Knopp, Joey Albright, Justin Albright, Josie Ramsey-Smith, Logan Thomas, Lanie and Colder Knopp, Mason Thomas, Morgan Cooper, Jaxen Pease, Grant Thomas and Baby Barton due in March; and one sister Gertrude Haney and her daughter Peggy (Don) White, all of Florida.
Now she is reunited with her husband of 63 years Gordon Parsons, her dad and mom and many loved ones who were waiting for her.
Services will be held at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dee Rhodes officiating. Viewing was Monday evening, October 15, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm and one hour before the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Church, Jackson County. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Milhoan Ridge Baptist Church, 2674 Skull Run Road, Ravenswood, WV.
A special THANK YOU to all of YOU who showed our Mom how much you loved and cared for her while she was still with us. I am sure she will want you to visit her when your journey is complete. Her Mansion in the sky shouldn’t be hard to find. May God bless and keep you ‘till we meet again’.
