  • The WV Division of Homeland Security and Emergency management is requesting homeowners in Jackson County to contact FEMA. Jackson County is a non-designated county for Individual Assistance for homeowners who received damages during the wind storm (Derecho) on June 29, 2012. Homeowners must register with FEMA.
Registering with FEMA may increase Jackson County’s chances to be Assistance which means individuals with losses can obtain disaster assistance,
    Please call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
Although you may have been inspected earlier by FEMA or the State Damage Assessment Team, it is imperative you call and register with FEMA.
The state monitors these registrations and uses the information gained to provide justification to FEMA when requesting the addition of counties to a disaster, and therefore it is very important that anyone in Jackson County with disaster-related losses call the 800 FEMA number to register.
There is a deadline for the state to make this request for adding Jackson County.
