  • “It’s Showtime!” is the theme for Ripley High School Homecoming 2012, and six seniors are vying for starring roles in the upcoming festivities which include Friday afternoon’s Homecoming Parade at 1 p.m., the Ripley Viking-Roane County Raider football game at 7:30 p.m. Friday night at Death Valley Memorial Stadium (where the new Viking royalty will be crowned during half-time ceremonies) and Saturday night’s culminating Homecoming Dance. Senior starlets vying for the coveted crown of Miss Viking 2012 are Chelsea Boggess, daughter of Patrick and Leslie Boggess of Given; Caressa Robinson, daughter of Mark and Julie Robinson of Given; and Brittany Tolley, daughter of Marquetta Vanhoose and Vince Tolley of Evans. Senior leading men vying for the crown of Mr. Viking are Colton Holmes, son of Keith and Terri Holmes of Ripley; Andy Mellert, son of Don and Risa Mellert of Kenna; and Tyler Pittenger, son of Jami and Bill Pittenger of Fairplain. The new royalty will be crowned at half-time Friday.
