RAVENSWOOD - Coach Mick Price's Red Devils (2-1) can't afford to dwell on last Friday's humbling 84-42 loss to Wayne—not with perennial Class A heavyweight Williamstown coming to town tomorrow (Friday) night for a 7:30 p.m. game

"Coach (Terry) Smith has done a tremendous job," said Price. "Their last 10 years of football have been as good as anybody in the state." Indeed, the Yellow Jackets finished as Class A state runners-up in 2011 and have been a regular in the A playoffs annually. The Yellow Jackets won the State Class A crown in 2008 and were state runners-up in 2011, 2007, 2006, 2005 and 2003.

Williamstown enters Friday night's game with a 2-2 record. The 'Jackets opened with a52-19 thumping of Tyler Consolidated, but them dropped consecutive road games at Magnolia (24-7) and Fairfield Union, OH (46-14), before pounding South Harrison, 49-7, last Friday at home.

Williamstown is bolstered by a pair of returning Class A All-Staters in tackle Avery Goff (6-3, 287, Sr.) and tight end Chris McDuffy (6-1, 226, Sr.) and the return of two-year starting junior quarterback Jake Tracewell (6-1, 154).

In their opening blowout of Tyler, Tracewell connected on 10 of 14 passes for 94 yards and three touchdowns, while Dakota Watson (5-9, 162. So.) ran for 117 yards and a TD on 16 carries. Fullback David Hastings (5-11, 187, Jr.) ran for a 28-yard TD and returned a fumble 42 yards for another score. Beau Wasmer (5-10, 150, Sr.) and Trevor Anderson (5-10, 169, Sr.) caught second-half TD passes from Tracewell.

In their 24-7 loss to Magnolia, Hastings scored the lone TD on a 63-yard run on the second play of the third quarter.
In last week's romp over Class No. 18 South Harrison that snapped a two-game losing skid, big plays were the ticket.
The Yellow Jackets rolled up 515 yards of total offense in the game to the Hawks' 215.

Trace Hart (5-9, 156, Jr.) scored on runs of 72 and 63 yards. Watson ran for TDs of 25 and 74 yards.
Tracewell hit Hastings with a 63-yard TD pass and Brad Meeks (5-8, 148. So.) capped the scoring with a 42-yard run.
Garret Butler (6-1, 186. Sr.) does the punting and place-kicking for the Yellow Jackets.

Despite last week's lopsided loss to Wayne, the Red Devils got 122 rushing yards and four TDs from junior Devon Crews and 90 rushing yards from sophomore Rhys Jelich. Sophomore Connor Jelich continues to battle an ankle injury suffered in the opener at Hoover. Junior quarterback Heath Burgess completed just six of 28 pass for 99 yards, but was intercepted three times versus the Pioneers.
