  • RAVENSWOOD – Senior Haley Palmer scored 21 points and junior Katie Buckbee 20 to lift Caoch gary Braham's Ravenswood Red Devilettes to hand visiting Sissonville their first loss of the season, 25-22, 21-25, 25-19, in violleyball Thursday night at the RvHS Physical Education Building.
    Kayla Hoff added 11 points, Michael Hughes and Tia Querrey five each; Jordan Strickland, two; and Ashley Sauls and Natalie Francis, one each.
    Ravenswood dropped a match to Doddridge prior to the Sissonville win, losing 31-29 in the deciding third game.
    In a home tri September 11, the Devilettes lost 25-20, 17-25, 22-25 to Buffalo and 25-19, 15-25, 10-25 to Wirt County.
    Versus Buffalo, Hoff scored 14 points; Hughes 12; Palmer 11; Buckbee nine; Strickland six; Querrey four; and Sauls and Francis, one each.
    Versus Wirt County, Buckbee led the way with 14 points. Hughes added eight; Hoff seven; Palmer six; Querrey four; Francis three; and Strickland two.
    In a quad September 4 at Spencer, Ravenswood lost to Ritchie County (25-20, 25-21), Calhoun County (25-13, 14-25, 14-25) and Roane County (25-15, 25-20).
    Versus Ritchie, Buckbee scored 10 points; Palmer nine; Hoff eight; Querrey and Hughes three each; and Sauls one.
    Versus Calhoun, Buckbee scored 10; Palmer nine; Querrey and Hughes seven each; Hoff five; and Strickland and Francis four each.
    Versus Roane, Hughes led the way with eight points. Buckbee added seven; Palmer six; Querrey five; Hoff four; and Strickland three.
