  • Senior Mason Carte's chip shot goal in second half Tuesday night pushed Ravenswood past previoulsy unbeaten and AA/A No. 4-ranked Williamstown, 1-0, at Eastwood.
Ravenswood (7-1) entered the game ranked No. 7 in AA/A inexplicably dropping two spots in the poll while winning two games—now three.
After a scoreless first half, Carte got the game winner after dribbling into the box and chipping a shot off multiple deflections. Carte's boot sailed perfectly between the Williamstown keeper's hands and the crossbar, according to head coach Todd R. Murray.
Ravenswood plays at AA/A No. 2 Sissonville (7-1) Thursday and hosts Tyler Consolidated Saturday at Eastwood in the second half of a soccer doubleheader. Ravenswood's Lady Devils host Tyler at 11 a.m.
