RIPLEY - They ran. They ran some more. Then, they ran again.
Ripley racked up over 300 yards on the ground with a stable of running backs including Tyler Pittenger, Ryan Stutler, Jake Martin, Austin Hileman and Jacob Lewis as the Vikings tamed the Wildcats on Friday night 48-20 in Death Valley.
Viking starting sophomore quarterback Trevor Tucker hurt his throwing hand earlier in the week and was questionable before the game. He played the entire contest and contributed greatly with his feet, leading the team in rushing with 89 yards.
Ripley got two pick sixes in the fourth quarter from Quaseem Fields and Justin Hinzman to put a lid on the contest. The scores came within a minute of each other.
Place Kicker Easton Berry remains perfect on the season booting extra points.
