  • Sophomore Rhys Jelich led a parade of scorers with 249 rushing yards to pace Ravenswood's Red Devils past pesky Roane County, 42-24, Friday night at Roane County Stadium Jelich scored two second half TDs on runs of 10 and 44 yards--the last the final back breaker to the Raiders ' hopes. Junior Devon Crews added 83 yards on 17 carries with two TDs. Junior quarterback Heath Burgess completed five of 11 passes for 89 yards inclduing TD strikes to Ben Johnson (nine yards) and Dylan Radabaugh (16 yards). Cody May put his name in the Roane record book by returning two kickoffs for touchdowns— the first 95 yards and the second 82 yards. John Ash had 100 yards on 20 carries for Raiders. Senior middle linebacker Brad Titus paced the Ravenswood defense with 11 tackles and a sack. Senior Red Devil tackle Billy Knicely suffered a dislocated knee in the fourth quarter and had to be removed from the field on a gurney. Ravenswood (2-0) plays host to defending AA state champion and preseason No. 1 Wayne (3-0) in their home opener Friday at Flinn Field
