Main Street Ripley and Special Olympics Jackson County will once again join forces
Main Street Ripley and Special Olympics Jackson County will once again join forces to sponsor a summer golf tournament to be held Saturday afternoon, August 11th, at Green Hills Country Club in Silverton.
It will be the eighth straight year that Main Street Ripley has hosted a golf outing and their second straight endeavor with the SOJC as a partner. The two worthwhile organizations will split the profits from what looks to be a very popular event.
On-course registration will begin at noon for the four person scramble (50 handicap team minimum, please, with just one golfer per team with a handicap of 10 or less) with a shotgun start scheduled at 1:00 p.m. The $50 per player entry fee includes green fees, cart, a light lunch, a small gift bag, and prize drawings. The cost for GHCC members is $25 for a member who has a cart and $33 for non-cart GHCC members.
Individual on-course contests will take place throughout the afternoon. Pro shop gift certificates will be awarded to the top three teams at the conclusion of the 18 hole outing.
The monetary amount of those gift certificates will be based on the number of teams competing that day. For early registration (highly encouraged) or for questions about the tourney, call any of the following: Main Street Ripley at (304) 372-1637, Terry Landis (304) 372-4958, Frank Nester (304) 273-2022, or the Green Hills Pro Shop (304) 273-3396.
