  • Coy Wade Jr., 80 of Parkersburg, passed away June 11, 2012 at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus due to complications sustained from a previous  accident.

  • Coy Wade Jr., 80 of Parkersburg, passed away June 11, 2012 at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus due to complications sustained from a previous  accident.  He was born July 1, 1931 at Liverpool, WV, a son of the late Coy Wade Sr. and Virginia Ruth (Knapp) Wade of Ravenswood.
    Coy retired from Century Aluminum with 39 years service.  He was a Life Member of the National Rifle Association and a great supporter of the 2nd Amendment.  
    He was a member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association, the Marietta Gun Club and the Ohio Gun Collector’s Association.  Coy was an avid golfer and a member of South Hills Golf Course and was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and being on his farm in Jackson County.
    Most importantly, Coy was a Christian.  He was a member of the Southside Southern Baptist Church.  He loved his church family and his God.
    Surviving  in addition to his mother is his wife of 56 years, Drusilla (Moore) Wade, two sons:  Jeffrey Wade and his wife Kim of Parkersburg and Craig Wade and his wife Robin of Washington, brother David Wade (Jeanne) of Leroy, WV and sister Betty Jean Staats of Leroy.
    He also leaves behind his dear grandchildren Jacob and Shannon Wade, special great granddaughter Olivia and nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were Thursday 11a.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Reverend Paul Drake officiated. 
    Interment followed at Sunset Memory Gardens.  Visitation was Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
