  • Ernest Emory Dean, 80, of Ravenswood, passed  away on June 19, 2012  at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley.
    He was born February 22, 1932 at Strange Creek, WV to  Thomas Emory Dean and Blanche Chapman Dean.
    He was a laborer and farmer.
    Ernest enjoyed music, watching TV, Bible study, and socializing with his friends.  
    He loved to play Bingo and Dominoes.  He attended First United Pentecostal Church.
    Survivors: Brother:  Glen (Carla) Dean, Ravenswood, WV
    Sisters:  Beulah Prince, Largo, FLA; Eula Young, Glendon, WV; Prudence (Virgil) Lambert, Elkton, MD, Eva (Tom) Lowery, North Myrtle Beach, SC; and Phyllis Jean (Charles) Dancy, Dille, WV.
    He had 19 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Everette Dean and Johnnie R. Dean.
    The service is on Friday, June 22, 2012 at  11 a.m. at First United Pentecostal Church in Ravenswood   Minister (s): Reverend David (T.J.) Johnston                 
    Cemetery: Chapman Cemetery, Clem, WV, in Braxton County, with a grave side service at 3 p.m.
    Friends and family may visit the family at the church on Friday from 10 to 11 am.
