Cody Miller is feeling pretty good these days. The Ripley High hoopster has graduated and is looking forward to what lies ahead for him as a member of the Bethany Bison basketball program.
Coach Andrew Sachs’ Bison hoops team repeated as champions of the division III Presidents Athletic Conference in 2011-12.
The 6-2 Miller will likely be making the transition from forward to guard at the collegiate level.
“I will be making the transition to 2-3 guard and I’m excited about being a student at Bethany,” said Miller. The athletic scorer averaged 23.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game in an injury plagued senior season that saw Miller endure multiple surgeries on an ankle he broke as Thanksgiving break approached last year.
The “Ripley Rocket” entered the season as a returning All-State and All-MSAC selection. Miller still garnered a second team All-MSAC selection while only playing in six games in his senior campaign for the Vikings (2-21).
NCAA rules prevented Bethany head coach Andrew Sachs from speaking about Miller and his basketball future as it relates to Bethany at this point.
“All I can say at this juncture is that we are very happy to have Cody at Bethany.”
