  • Ryan Michael Rhodes, 30, went home to be with the Lord on May 18, 2012, at CAMC Memorial following a long illness.
    Ryan was born May 19, 1981, son of Richard Allen and Tressa Mae Riggs Rhodes, and brother of Amy Grace and brother-in-law Jonathan Delong.
    He was a graduate of Ripley High School and also WVU-P.
    Following college he was employed by Chartwell Corporation of Ripley as a drafter.
    Ryan was an outdoors man who loved hunting and fishing. Along with being a fan of NASCAR, he was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan, but he was most passionate of being a true blue and gold WVU Mountaineers fan.
    In addition to his parents, sister, and brother-in-law, Ryan is survived by his maternal grandmother Jean Rhodes of Ripley and paternal grandfather Wayne Riggs of Belpre, Ohio. Aunts, Darlene (Dean) Staats, Dodie Rhodes, Sandy (Paul) Vidrine, Tessa (Scott) Painter. Also, several cousins who were some of his best friends; Grant, Taylor, Mary, David, Isaac, Abbey, Jacob, and Caylee.
    He was also survived by several other great aunts, uncles, and cousins.
    Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather Jim Rhodes , maternal  grandmother  Myrtle Riggs and cousin Chris Rhodes of Ripley.
    Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, May 21, at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Lee Pursley officiating. Burial will follow at Independence Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to service.
