Carol Virginia Straight, 67, of Evans, WV, passed away March 2, 2012, due to injuries received in an automobile accident.
She was born January 4, 1945, in Allentown, NJ, a daughter of the late Arnold Henry and Virginia Grace (Herbert) Anderson. Her brother, James Stephen Anderson also preceded her in death.
She was a retired cook from the Jackson County Board of Education, and was a member and the current treasurer for the Auto Club of Jackson County. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and was a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, James Lowell Straight; sons and their wives, Gerald Wayne and Julie Straight of Waxhaw, NC, and Richard Brian and Missy Straight of Concord, NC; daughter, Donna Michele Britton and her husband, Brandon of Spotsylvania, VA; brothers, William Henry Anderson of Freehold, NJ, Edward Arnold Anderson of Howell, NJ, and Ronald Anderson of Jackson, NJ; grandchildren, Bethany Wallace, Kevin Straight, Jordan Straight, and Joy Straight, Emily Straight, Brian Straight and Seth Boyd Britton, and a great granddaughter, Adelyn Wallace.
Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, WV, with the Rev. Jimmy Britt officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadowdale Cemetery, Liverpool. Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
