Katheryn F. Miller Skeen, 80, of Kenna, passed away at her residence Wednesday evening following an extended illness.


Katheryn F. Miller Skeen, 80, of Kenna, passed away at her residence Wednesday evening following an extended illness.
She was born May 5, 1931 at Dog Fork near Kenna, daughter of the late James and Talitha Monday Miller.
Katheryn was a Ripley High School graduate and in addition to being a lifelong homemaker, she worked many years as a glass worker for a medical and lab equipment manufacturer.  She was a member of the Goldtown Church and the Kenna Grange.
Above all, Katheryn will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Surviving: Her husband of 55 years, Donald Skeen of Kenna; Son, David Allen Skeen of Woodstock, IL; Daughter, Ruth Ann Beck of Kenna; Sister, Margaret Cobb of Evans; Grandchildren, Rhonda Michelle Farklis and Alyssa Maureen Luke; Great-grandchildren, Alyssa Luke and Leo Farklis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Miller, a sister, Lorene Blankenship, half brothers Brady and Randall Miller and Milford, William and Charles Fisher and half sisters, Velma Dunlap, Gay Murphy and Lova Rollins.
Funeral services were at Waybright Funeral Home Sunday, October 23, 2011..Aaron Jones officiated.
