Charles “Chuck” Icenhower, 74, of Vienna, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2009.


Charles “Chuck” Icenhower, 74, of Vienna, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2009.

He was born November 4, 1934, in Clendenin, a son of the late Winston R. “Ike” and Mabel Taylor Icenhower.  Chuck worked for many years as a supervisor over the construction of various shopping center/malls and businesses throughout the United States.  He also worked for many years as Superintendent of Building and Grounds for the City of Parkersburg.  Most recently, he worked as a Greeter of the Vienna Wal-Mart.  He was an active member of River Valley Community Church where he served as treasurer for many years.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 29 years, Rosemary Tingler Icenhower; daughters Joanna L. Wheeler of Ravenswood and Kimberly A. Wright and her husband Todd of Parkersburg; son Mark W. Icenhower of Pompano Beach, FL; brother Paul (Carolyn) Icenhower of Ravenswood;  sister Madelyn (Al) Sisson of Plainview, MN; grandsons Luke (Julie) Wheeler, David Wheeler and Travis Wright; granddaughters Erica (Josh) Gorrell and Morgan Wright; and great-grandsons Gavin, Ethan and Tyler Wheeler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Arland “Leo” Icenhower and very special aunt Rettie Icenhower.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor John Douglass officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 26, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. at the funeral home.
